The study is titled Work life Balance and Employee Performance a Casestudy of Mariestopes International Uganda .The general objective of the study was to establish the relationship between work life balance and employee performance and the specific objectives of the study were: (i) To establish the relationship between Leave Policy and Employee Performance, (ii) To establish the relationship between Flexible Working hours and Employee Performance and (iii) To establish the relationship between Job Sharing and Employee Performance. Declining Employee Performance was the problem that prompted the research to establish whether work life balance has an impact on employee performance. A cross sectional case study research design was adopted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The study targeted 184 respondents but 183 returned the survey questions. Stratified sampling was used to divide employees of Marie Stopes International Uganda into groups (departments), Simple random sampling technique was used to select the respondents for the quantitative data collection while purposive sampling was used to select the key informant respondents. Data analysis was done using SPSS and it involved frequencies, percentages and inferential statistics such as correlations and regression analysis. Findings revealed a significant positive relationship (p=0.00, Beta=0.569) between Leave Policy and Employee Performance; a significant positive relationship (P=0.005 Beta=0.529) between Flexible Working hours and Employee Performance and significant positive relationship (P=0.00, Beta=0.448) between Job Sharing and Employee Performance. The results indicate that all the variables are predictors of Employee Performance. The moderating variable which is Family Support had a weak impact on Employee Performance (p=0.004, Beta=0.196) It was therefore concluded that Leave Policy, Flexible Working hours and Job Sharing have an effect on Employee Performance. The findings meant that Work Life Balance has a positive relationship with Employee Performance. Work Life Balance positively affected Employee Performance, Work Life balance is a predictor of Employee Performance. The study recommended that Marie Stopes International Uganda should ensure Work Life Balance is enhanced to improve Employee Performance by adhering to Leave Policy, implementing Job Sharing, letting staff have Flexible Working hours.en_US
