    Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of child-mothers‟ coping strategies on their academic performance in selected secondary schools in Otuke District. The study was conducted in two government aided secondary schools of Adwari and Orum Secondary Schools in Otuke District. Descriptive survey method was used as the research design with both quantitative and qualitative approaches applied. The study population included tachers, headteachers, deputy headteachers, district education officer, district inspector of schools, and child-mothers which gave a sample size of 80 respondents. The main instruments of data collection were questionnaire and interview guide. It was found that child-mothers who used lactation rooms experienced reduced stress, improved focus, and increased participation in class and this positively influenced childmothers' academic performance. Family support enhanced child-mothers' active participation in class, promoted positive living, reduced school dropout rates, allowed them to proceed with their education careers, and promoted discipline in schools and hence, positively influencing child-mothers' academic performance. And counseling services improved childmothers' emotional well-being, coping mechanisms, and academic motivation and hence, positively influenced child-mothers' academic performance. In conclusion, access to lactation rooms, family support, and counseling services are crucial for child-mothers' academic success and overall well-being. These support systems help child-mothers navigate the challenges of parenthood and education, leading to improved academic performance and reduced dropout rates. The following recommendations were therefore developed; Schools and policymakers must prioritize providing comprehensive support services for child-mothers, including family support services like parenting classes and economic empowerment programs, as well as tailored counseling services addressing their unique emotional, academic, and social needs.
