    Abstract
    The study aimed at establishing the effect of stress on employee productivity using Kajunki Sec. School as the case study located in Kayunga district. The specific objectives of the study were to; assess the way stress at individual level affect the productivity of employee, to find out how the stress at organizational level affects employee productivity, and to examine the ways in which stress at extra-organizational level affect employee productivity. The study employed the case study research design and adopted both qualitative and quantitative research approaches to collect data. The methods used in obtaining primary data included; self administered questionnaire, interviews aided by interview guide. The secondary was also used and obtained through secondary data sources; text books, reports, education journals, among others. Krejice and Morgan 2007 were used to select the sample size of 44 out of the 50 total populations. Data was analyzed using descriptive data analysis, used regression analysis to interpret it and was presented using tables. The findings revealed that employee productivity is affected by stress from different levels both within and outside the organization. The study concludes that stress affects the employee productivity of an organization and therefore organizations have to manage stress among employees to be able to increase their productivity levels. The researcher went on and further recommended the organizations to design their work places in a favorable way for employees to work comfortably in, to encourage job rotations and enlargement to control boredom that comes with the repetitive nature of the employees’ tasks, the supervisors to be friendly and welcoming to the employees hence creating a good working atmosphere to improve and increase employee productivity. Further research was emphasized on the relationship between stress and employee productivity.
