dc.description.abstractThe study examines the role The management Operations And Organizational Performance in a case MTN. The objectives of the study are: To establish the effect of Planning & Budgeting on organisational performance, To establish the effect of Professional Development on organisational performance and to determine the effect of Process Development on organisational performance The study used a case study design and also adopted majorly quantitative approach for the study. The sample size was determined by the Krejcie and Moegan (1970) table which obtained a sample size of 66 respondents and closed ended questionnaireswere used to collect data. The findings show that, MTN Uganda has a planning & budgeting function, Planning & budgeting activities are implemented and this has enhanced development of team spirit. From the study it was discovered that MTN Uganda has Professional development strategies, manager’s value professional learning and development of employees and professional development persuades employees to work harder. From the study it was exposed that MTN Uganda has Process development strategies and they have been fully implemented.Iit was further exposed that the organisation has been able to improve its operations as a result of Process development activities, the competitive positions have been improved and product innovativeness in the organization has been as a result of process development. It was further testified that MTN Uganda has improved its performance which can be portrayed in form of new product innovation, increase on the customer base, sales revenues maximization better coordination of activities and customer satisfaction. Finally it was recommended that the management should hire external expertise that can facilitate professional development experiences and external expertise is also important in helping practitioners become research engaged, particularly in providing support on research techniques of analysis, evaluation and reporting. It also recommended that management should put more emphasis on provision of training to its employees from where they acquire new knowledge and skills that can be applied in the organisation operations.en_US
