The impact of employee training on the performance of an organization:
Abstract
The main purpose of the study was to establish the impact of employee training on the
performance of an organization. The study was guided by the following objectives: to assess the
role of employee mentoring on the performance, to establish the effect of employee coaching on
the performance and to find out the effect of employee job rotation on performance of Nina
Interiors Limited. The study was carried out using a detailed literature review thereby analyzing
what various authors have written about the topic. This was done by looking into different books.
Data was collected using various tools like a self-administered questionnaire, interviews. The
study was conducted using 40 respondents among employees and management of the company
.The results from the findings indicated that majority of the respondents were female in the
company and were in the age group between 18-30 who were married. The results indicated that
employee coaching plays a big role in improving organizational performance, and that mentoring
programs in the organization lead to career development targets, in addition to findings which
revealed that many respondents agreed that job rotation provides practical participation for
employees whose greatest advantage is increased job satisfaction. A number of recommendations
where suggested such as the originations should establish a positive work environment and give
the employees opportunities to learn and grow through proper employee training. It was further
recommended that the organization’s management needs to invest more in appraising their
employees by motivating them to work harder.
