| dc.description.abstract | The study was about the effect of computerization of land titles on service delivery in the
Kampala land registry. Primary and secondary data was collected using questionnaires and
review of literature, news papers respectively. A questionnaire approach used and was designed
to cover employees of the land registry, key stake holders of the land registry that is; lawyers,
real estate agents and banking firms. Results from the study showed that most of the respondents
were not in agreement with computerization’s effect on the level of service delivery in the
Kampala land registry mainly asserting that it’s not the computerized system but the human
resource in the land registry. Recommendations and conclusions drawn among which include;
close monitoring of the human resource in the land registry, creation of on-line access services
and computer networking with key stake holders that is; law firms, real estate firms and banking
firms which help in completely getting rid of corruption and forgeries in the land registry. | en_US |
