dc.description.abstractThe study covered the effect of MONITORING & EVALUATION PRACTICES ON SERVICE DELIVERY AMONG TB PATIENTS, Case Study of Wakiso Health Centre IV, Wakiso District Local Government. The following objectives were considered; to investigate how the existing capacity of M&E staff influence service delivery among TB patients in Wakiso Health Center TV, to determine the effect of management support on service delivery among TB patients in Wakiso Health Center IV and to assess how the organizational structure affect service delivery among TB patients in Wakiso Health Center IV. The study reviewed various scholarly works to back up the study basing on the laid objectives. The researcher embraced a correlational design that was cross sectional in nature using both Quantitative and Qualitative approaches. The sample size was 60 respondents both employees at Wakiso health Centre IV and TB patients/caretakers were included as they had the required characteristics for the study, general, specific objectives and therefore appropriate data sources. The study employed the survey method s which include questionnaires, interview guides and focus group discussion guides as the data collection tools. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 23 and was presented in tables showing frequencies and percentages depending on responses given. Basing on the findings obtained, the correlation between existing staff capacity and service delivery is moderate at Pearson correlation r=.334, Sig value p<0.01. (P=.009 <0.01). The study findings show that the relationship between management support and service delivery is positive but very weak at r=0.077 n=60, Sig value p>0.01. (P=.557 >0.01) and the correlation between organizational structure and service delivery is positive at r=.686, n=60, p<0.01. The study concludes that organization structure, management support, existing staff capacity together account for 45.7% of the variance in service delivery (Adjusted R Square = 0.457), this implies that other factors contribute 54.3%. . The study recommends that Management of Wakiso Health Centre 1V should adopt and simultaneously rollout all the identified factors in the study through (existing capacity, management support and organizational structure) believed to influence Service delivery so as to tap into the desired benefits of the M&E function.en_US
