The effect of recruitment on organizational performance case study
Abstract
The study aimed at observing the effect of recruitment on the organizational performance using
centenary rural development bank as the case study with more emphasis on the main branch
located at Kampala Mapeera house. The specific objectives of the study were; to find out the
relationship between E-Recruitment and organizational performance, to examine the relationship
between employee referrals and organizational performance and to examine the relationship
between job advertising and organizational performance.
The study employed the case study research design and adopted both qualitative and quantitative
research approaches. Krejice and Morgan 2007 was used to select the sample size of 80 out of
the population of 118 employees considered from the general total population of 431 employees
at centenary rural development bank (Mapeera Main House-Kampala). In addition, the study
employed various methods to collect, analyze and interpret the findings from the questionnaires
which were effectively administered, the findings revealed that organizational performance is
affected by recruitment whereby selection and recruitment of efficient and effective employees
contributes best to attain the organizational goals.
The study concludes that recruitment of efficient and effective employees is very crucial for the
success of the organization and competent employees should be obtained with use of favorable
recruitment methods used by a particular organization in order to acquire quality of service,
profitability and productivity as a form of organization performance and contribution to customer
satisfaction
