    Effect of human resource training on employee performance in private security companies in Uganda

    Abstract
    The study focused on assessing the effect of human resource training on employee performance where a case study was done of Real Security Services Limited. The specific objectives of the study were: to assess the relationship between the method of training and employee performance, to assess the relationship between the time taken in training and employee performance, to assess the relationship between trainers and employee performance. The study adopted case study research design and the target population comprised of all the 90 employees of RSSL. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 30 respondents to represent the target population. The questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument and it contained both open and closed ended questions. Data analysis was done through descriptive statistics where percentages and frequencies were used. Presentation of the analyzed data was in the form of tables, charts and graphs. The findings revealed that there was a weak positive correlation between the method of training and employee performance. Other findings showed that the time taken in training affects employee performance in RSSL. From the findings it as established that the trainers affect the employee performance. The company should also try to reduce the problems faced during training by the trainees and the trainer. The researcher suggested that there was need for further research to be conducted on how often RSSL should conduct training in the course of operations, the researcher also recommended that research should be done on how the challenges faced during training affect training and ultimately employee performance. The researcher also suggested that the trainer should be taken for further training to increase his knowledge
