    Abstract
This research was on the impact of training on employees’ performance in non-profit making organizations, Kagongo hospital. The research had three objectives to investigate the impact of on the job training on employees’ performance, to find the effect of off the job training on employees’ performance, to examine the influence of team training on employees’ performance in non-profit making organizations. The literature review was obtained from both primary sources using questionnaires and observation methods and secondary data sources using text books, newspapers, internet and journals among others. This research was based on the sample size of 50 out of the total population of 60 employees 10 were management while 40 were employees. The researcher used Amin (2005) method for obtaining the sample size. The data collection tools used included questionnaires and observation which were both qualitative and quantitative. The findings of this research showed that training leads to increased productivity, increased level of team work, time management, level of creativity and innovation which makes employees be in position to perform better. The conclusions drawn from the study showed that team training and on the job training are the widely used methods of training at the hospital which have enhanced the level of productivity, level of employees’ motivation, satisfaction, creativity and innovation which are the indicators of performance. I recommend the management of non-profit making organizations to maintain the practice of training employees at least once every year using a method favorable because it is a means through which employees’ performance is enhanced at work. The researcher therefore suggested that further research be carried out on the challenge of training on employees’ performance in organizations
