dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this study was to assess the impact of supply chain finance on the corporate performance of an organization guided by the following objectives; to establish the impact of purchase order management on corporate performance of an organization, to investigate the impact of open account payment on corporate performance of an organization and to assess the impact of bank-assisted open accounts on corporate performance of an organization. The study was carried on using a detailed literature review thereby analyzing what various authors have written about the topic. This was done by looking into different books and online journals. Data was collected using self administered questionnaires and interviews. The study was conducted using 44 respondents, with 5 respondents as Administrators, 4 from the Accounting and Finance Department, 3 Procurement officers and 32 other employees. The results indicated that most of the respondents were female, in the age group between 26-30 years of age and had an education qualification of a degree. The results also indicated that the respondents strongly agreed that purchase order management ensures that the suppliers will honor their agreements on as delivery time, quantity and price, how open account payment has assisted the corporation management to anticipate changes to evolve and keep pace with innovation and lastly that bank-assisted open accounts save capital costs. Finally a number of recommendations were suggested such as the organizational management should employ analysts that can professional use planning tools to meet and predict future demand of the organization as well as logistics.en_US
